The beauty in Stories.

I have grown to appreciate the beauty stories carry. I take pride in being an African woman. Africa has been blessed by the richest heritage of stories. Stories have always been with us. Our fore father's told stories around the fire places and during a number of  gatherings. Story telling is all they ever knew, it was the easiest way of communicating. These stories moulded us, they contributed to our personal growth, they made us ponder about life. oh how those days were beautiful! Sitting under the moon light,  listening to stories and sipping the best of African tea our grand mother's made from all those local leaves.  I still remember my early days in elementary school, the memories of my social studies teacher are still vivid as she spoke about the first man in Buganda, he was called "Kintu" and had one cow .
